We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and use it only to find and remove your leaked content. No ads and no tracking cookies. We count visits to our public pages with our own analytics, without cookies.
1. What we collect
- What you give us: your email, stage name, profile link and other usernames. If you sign the takedown authorization, also your legal name, plus the time, IP address and browser you signed from, kept as proof of your signature.
- What a scan finds: links to pages that appear to show your content, and the sites they’re on.
- Emails you send us, and the replies we send you.
- Technical basics: the country your request came from (not your IP address) and the time of each request.
We don’t collect payment card details; our payment provider handles those. We don’t use facial recognition on you without your separate written consent.
2. How we use it
- To run your scans and send your reports.
- To send takedown notices you approved, as your agent.
- To sign you in and email you about your account. We don’t send newsletters.
We rely on our contract with you, and for free scans on your request, as the legal basis under the Swiss Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
3. Who else sees it
We never sell your data or share it for marketing. We use a few services to run LeaksGone, and they only get what they need:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores our database and sends and receives our email.
- Serper runs our Google searches. It receives the search terms: your stage name and usernames, not your email.
- Pushover sends us a phone notification for each new scan request, with your stage name, profile link, email and country.
Takedown notices go to the sites, hosts and search engines involved, in LeaksGone’s name. Some recipients publish notices in public databases such as Lumen. We don’t include your home address or phone number, and we ask you before sharing your legal name.
Some of these providers are in the United States. We use them under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you close it, we delete it within 30 days, except copies of notices we sent, which we keep as legal records.
Free scan requests that never become an account are deleted after 12 months.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email legal@leaksgone.com and we answer within 30 days.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Swiss FDPIC or the authority where you live in the EU.
7. Illegal content
If we come across material that appears to involve a minor, we don’t download or keep it, and we report it to NCMEC or the relevant authority.
